I just want to cry!

Last weekend I had the super duper special passes for a local con and a brand new cosplay.  The first night of the con I get very sick with diarhea and vomitting.  Then right after the con I get a call that Grandma has fallen and hasn't woken up.  Then the next day there is the call that she died.  By this point Dad has what I had.  Then Mom gets sick, and she had it worse than I did.  Now, Dad and I are finally in the place for the funeral after two days of driving and... my computer isn't working! The dark areas has green static and the white areas has pink static.  The hotel computer doesn't display power point properly so I can't do my homework, which is due today.  The screen is just too painful to look at that I can't use it long without getting a headache.  I won't be back in town until Thursday night, no where near enough time to get it fixed before ShipSwap reveals.  I might even have to default on my own exchange because of my laptop.

I just want to cry.

/big hugs! I'm so sorry! :( You should definitely delay Shipswap for a little while at least. I mean, anyone who complained about having to wait a little longer when you're going through such a tough time and can barely even access it without pain would just be an asshole. You definitely need time to get better and at least get back to a computer which doesn't give you massive headaches.

Is there any way you can talk to your prof. and negotiate it? Or can you use another computer like a friend's, or a library one? There's office online http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/online/

My brother's laptop can't get online without a physical cord, and the hotel only has wireless. The hotel computer won't display the school work properly. Luckily, we just found an HDMi cord so I have hooked my laptop up to the hotel TV and am using that as my monitor and my laptop just for the keyboard. Once I get back home I'll be able to hook it up to my own TV.

I've already delayed ShipSwap one week. I don't feel like it is right to do so a second week.
