Greetings, fellow Little Black Dress Author! That you're familiar with one or more of my requested canons means you have great taste, and I look forward to seeing what you write for me. My AO3 username is rubylily, and feel free to take a look at my previous dear author letters. My likes and dislikes have generally remained the same.

Likes: romance, age gaps, friends-to-lovers, first dates, fluff, slice of life, action, happy endings, bittersweet endings, mutual pining, travel, exploring abandoned places and ruins, hurt/comfort (especially h/c in which a character is sick or injured and another takes care of them), loyalty kink, physical affection (platonic and/or romantic), celebrations of birthdays and other holidays, strong characters being surprisingly vulnerable, meek & shy characters being surprisingly assertive, dreams & nightmares, worldbuilding, exploration of canon fantasy and supernatural elements. For all of my requests, crossover ships are fine between any of my requested Little Black Dress characters. Finally, gifts are enabled and treats are welcomed.

Some of my requested canons deal a lot with violence and death, so I don't mind if things get dark or violent for the characters and references to canon character death are fine, but I prefer fics that end on a hopeful or happy note.

Do Not Want: rape/noncon, dubcon, abuse, outright downer endings, non-canon character death, infidelity, character/pairing/canon-bashing, AUs/alternate universes, unrequested "fix-it" fics, poetry, fics written entirely in lowercase, second-person POV, crossovers/fusions with unrequested canons, Japanese honorifics in non-Japanese settings, characters referring to themselves in the third-person, daddy/mommy-kink, genderswap, unrequested identity-themed headcanons (e.g. gender headcanons, asexual headcanons, etc.), incest other than sister/sister or cousin/cousin, gen/pre-relationship, or unrequested pairings that don't involve my Little Black Dress character.

no_true_pair's 2025 No True Crossover mini event is open for sign-ups!

no_true_pair is, loosely, a mad-libs-style challenge. For No True Crossover, you sign up with a list of 4 fandoms, a set of prompts is posted that uses all the fandoms in different combinations, and you create works using those randomly made crossovers.

For example, if your list contained Stargate SG-1 and Alice In Wonderland as numbers 2 and 4, there could be a prompt like "2 & 4: Going out for coffee" or "4 and 2: Underground" and you might write a crossover in which a Stargate character meets Alice for coffee or Alice goes down the rabbit hole to find herself underground at Cheyenne Mountain (Stargate).

1. Leave a comment with your numbered list of four fandoms. You may, if you want an additional challenge, specify characters, but it is not required.

Additional information:

• you may use original fiction for one fandom or several if you have different canons you want to work with
