I picked up Hyperdevotion Noire yesterday.  I'm not very good at tactical RPGs.  I am so bad I have yet to beat any of the ones I own.  So easy difficulty for me!  I am enjoying the generals.  So far I have recruited Lid (Metal Gear), Resta (Agarest War) and Lee-Fi (Street Fighter).  All of them are pretty fun and enjoyable characters.  Lee-Fi and Resta are especially useful in battle.  I am in the process of recruiting Estelle (Dragon Quest) and Ain Al (Final Fantasy).

The one thing I don't like so far is the Secretary.  As far as nameless self insert male characters go the Producer from Producing Perfection was better.  This just feels like some vehicle to make Noire a waifu.

The upcoming Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II is looking good.  I don't think Plutia is going to be in it since she wasn't in the opening.  It is a shame, she is my favorite goddess.

I was okay with the Producer (who, IIRC, is only shown as explicitly male if you get the Bad End), and I don't have an impression of the Tactician Secretary yet. (Going to wait and get a bit of the DLC before I really delve into the game; I want those extra playable characters.)

I've been hearing all kinds of conspiracy theories about the lack of Plutia (e.g. she's not popular with the Japanese audience), but none of them have the ring of truth. Still looking forward to VII (once I get a PS4).

I liked the Producer and I could imagine they were a girl too.

I only picked up the Tiara and Sting DLC. Tiara because I love Fairy Fencer F. Sting because she is new. I did think about picking up Compa and IF, but I never really used them all that much in Victory.

I'm really hoping Plutia will at least make an appearance even if she isn't playable. I want Rei too but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I picked up a PS4 for that, Omega Quintet and Final Fantasy Type Zero.
